Description of sights, excursions and activities

Snowmobile trip
A beautiful route along the Kukisvum glacier valley to the Kukisvumchorr pass, connecting the southern and northern parts of the Khibin. The end point of the route is Lake Serdovidnoe, from which the Kuniyok river valley is clearly visible. In winter, the lake level drops sharply and ice frozen in autumn at high water levels forms unusual hummocks along the edges of the lake.

Nuclear-powered icebreaker «Lenin»
The world’s first nuclear-powered icebreaker, the first surface ship with nuclear propulsion. Icebreaker was built in the Soviet Union, first and foremost, to serve the Northern Sea Route. After working for 30 years, the icebreaker “Lenin” in 1989 was decommissioned and put on eternal parking in Murmansk.

Aurora Hunt
We offer you a royal hunt for one of the most beautiful natural phenomena! It is undoubtedly included in the must-see list of each person. But the Northern Lights, as nature in general, are unpredictable. Aurora borealis can be seen in winter, since nights at this time of year are much darker, a wonderful glow becomes more noticeable. The most impressive Aurora Borealis occurs during periods of highest solar activity. It is best to go out of town on a frosty, clear night. The sky should be cloudless. Otherwise, the clouds will hide all the beauty. After all, the very phenomenon of the northern lights originates in the upper atmosphere. From ancient times, the Northern Lights attracted people with its mysterious light, many legends developed about it. In the east, there is a belief that one who has ever seen the Northern Lights will live happily ever after the rest of his life.

Lesnaya Elan’
We are heading to Lesnaya Elan’ – the most famous in the north saami village. It is a settlement which still lives following the old traditions and rules having very strong relationship with nature and wilderness. Will have a chance to try husky safari. You will be riding 3-4 person at the time around a lake. Saami settlement – see how saami lived here long before Murmansk was founded and figured out how to live in peace in conditions of cold and aggressive northern nature.
